Drone Light Show Took Over Hungary’s National Day Celebration

Grizzly Entertainment returned to Budapest for the second year in a row to deliver the drone light show that stole Hungary’s National Day celebration. Collaborating with Ignition Concept and Visual Europe Group (VEG), Grizzly was part of a 45-minute, multi-layered production that lit up the Danube River with drones, fireworks, lasers, projection mapping, lighting, and a narrated music score.

Grizzly Back for Year Two in Budapest

After making a strong impression in 2024, Grizzly rejoined the creative team behind Hungary’s biggest national event. This year’s show was noticeably more ambitious — with increased drone count, sharper animation, and tighter integration with the surrounding visual and audio elements.

The drone show launched from an area next to the Hungarian Parliament and flew across the middle of the Danube River, creating a wide, central viewing experience. This placement allowed full visibility from both riverbanks and aligned with the Parliament’s lighting and projection effects.

While Grizzly was responsible for the drone performance, the full production came together through collaboration with Ignition Concept and Visual Europe Group (VEG), who managed the whole event production, technical systems, and visual direction.

The partnership built on last year’s work, scaling up in size and precision across all elements.

Public and Media Response

Tens of thousands gathered along the Danube to watch the show live. The Parliament-side launch and river-spanning visuals created a dramatic focal point. On social media, footage of the drone sequences, especially the Hungarian crown and Archangel Gabriel, spread quickly.

The broader production was noted for combining modern visuals with traditional symbolism in a coordinated city-wide show.
