Grizzly Entertainment returned to the University of Maine in Orono on September 12, 2026, for a 400-drone light show following the Black Bears’ football home opener against Merrimack.
The performance was developed specifically around Maine Athletics and University of Maine traditions, creating a custom post-game aerial experience above the athletics campus.
This marked Grizzly’s return to UMaine after producing two drone light shows during the university’s 2025 Homecoming celebrations. Rather than repeating the previous productions, the 2026 show was developed around the football game and the identity of Maine Athletics.
The drone show extended the evening beyond the stadium and gave fans another shared moment after the final whistle.
The project continues Grizzly Entertainment’s work in collegiate sports, which also includes drone shows for UC Berkeley, UCLA and other major sports organizations across the United States.
